We are a small award-winning industrial design firm that is looking for a design studio assistant who can get things done. We are looking for a creative individual to assist on administrative tasks and support designers in the general operations of design projects.
You:
Have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as you will be the first to welcome guests. Have excellent written skills, knowledge of MS word, excel and office equipment, knowledge of Adobe suite -is a huge plus. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, efficient and highly organized. Besides working with designers, you will run smooth day-to-day operations of our office. If this sounds like you, let us know. Responsibilities:
Help manage the office space, including ordering supplies, scheduling and managing calendars, receiving and sending mail, answering phone calls, running errands and welcoming visitors.
Develop and maintain our systems, contact lists and general office standards
Keep track of office expenses and receipts. Research new deals and vendors.
Hours: full time, 10am – 6pm
Attire: Business casual
Salary : hourly, commensurate with experience
Required education: College degree, creative arts background preferred.

Skills:
• Highly knowledgeable in Adobe CC.
• Know the ins and out of WordPress, Squarespace, Adobe, Behance platforms.

• Sketching/rapid visualization skills and storytelling/storyboarding.
• Research & Analysis, cross-functional collaboration .
• Comfort with working in all phases of the design process, from research to
concept development and detail design for manufacturing.
Skills:
• High proficiency in relevant software (Adobe CC, Fusion 360 *preferred,
SolidWorks, other 3D CAD modeling and rendering packages)
• Shop skills, 2D/3D prototyping.
• Excellent verbal, written and visual communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks. Proven ability
to work under pressure, owning and meeting critical deadlines.

• Qualified applicant will have an opportunity to work on a variety of
commercial projects in all phases of design process – from initial inception
through development of construction.
• Assist Designers with the following production tasks throughout all design
phases; preliminary space planning, furniture placement in AutoCAD, color
& material selection and research.
• Sourcing materials, prepare design presentations, coordinate deliveries
and installations.
• Communicate with vendors and client as needed to follow-up on items
and issues.
Skills:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling and digital rendering
programs, Fusion 360 preferred, or SolidWorks.
• Self motivated and highly organized.
• Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to keep up in high paced work environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing.
